Our Mission
Agentcy was founded to fill a gap to supporting recent graduates from underserved communities and young veterans reentering the workforce with the aspiration but not the opportunity to succeed. Modeled as a collective in which all participants have an emotional share, Agentcy invites not only donors, but mentors, educators and service providers to facilitate our clients’ growth. That growth then allows those same clients to pay it forward, encouraging and mentoring the next generation.
What We Do
Agentcy is a non-profit that promotes “agency” in the sense of independence, we go beyond providing the clothing that can change a person’s outlook; we provide the soft skills, connections and personal support to take our clients through an interview and beyond. Because we believe “if you teach a man to succeed, he’ll succeed for a lifetime.”
Partner with Us
With support from corporations and brands, we provide business attire to our social service partners in the form of curated career boxes that are delivered directly from our NJ distribution center to the participant’s program. Contact us to become an Agencty Partner.
OUR BRAND PARTNERS
Founder & Board of Directors
-
Founder / Executive Director
The public face of Agentcy, Jourdan is the former COO of Career Gear. He has extensive experience in business development and expansion (investments, acquisitions, corporate partnerships), finance, performance measurement and cultural initiatives.
His true genius lies in relationships: networking, consensus building, motivation and donor retention. A genuine “people person,” he is equally comfortable — and convincing — in front of a board of directors as he is with a hesitant new client who has just walked in the door. Why Agentcy? He was inspired by his own adoption at 7 years old to “offer that same helping hand to someone that was offered to me”.
